About our Church Centre
Claverdon Church Centre is a modern, light and airy facility situated next to the Church just off the main Warwick to Henley Road (A4189), 10 mins from the M40.
Here is our Parish Office, and the venue for more informal church services - we hold a Bible Cafe on 3rd Sundays of the month, as well as Alpha and other courses. During term time weekdays the Centre is full with children’s voices as it the home of Stepping Stones, one of the local pre-schools. Community and recreational groups also use the building during the week as well. The Church Centre is available for events such as wedding receptions, birthday parties and conferences.
The Main Hall is 15m by 10.3m and can accommodate 200 conference style, 150 seated at tables and 100 seated at tables with dancing. It leads out onto a foyer area which can be partitioned off if required. The Hall is equipped with up-to-date audio/visual equipment - put to good use by the regular film showings of Flicks in the Sticks, Claverdon’s own cinema.
Also available for smaller meetings or groups is Room 3/4. Room 3/4 is 12m by 3.8m and can be hired as one large room or partitioned into two smaller rooms. It can accommodate 36-50 people and is equipped with a projector screen.
The kitchen is modern and well equipped with crockery and cutlery for approximately 120 with a range cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, water urns, kettles and hostess trolley. The kitchen is ideal for catering and serving food.
The whole centre has Wifi.
We have free off-road parking directly outside for 50 cars and a disabled ramp for access, accessible toilet facilities and a baby changing station.
Rates vary according to the number of rooms booked, the number of hours and whether it is a private booking or a commercial booking. All rates include use of the kitchen. Guide is £22ph for the main hall and £11ph for the back rooms. Special Children's party rate is £65 for a 4-hour booking for the Hall.

Church Centre ECO project
Claverdon PCC fully supports the Church of England’s aim for zero carbon by 2030. Exciting plans are taking shape to replace the old oil-fired heating system in the Church Centre which after over 40 years use is reaching the end of its days. The first phase of the plan - the installation of heat pumps - was completed in Summer 2025. The second phase - waiting for funding - is to install solar panels on the roof.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
The foundation stone of the Church Centre was laid on 7 November 1976 - marking the start of an ambitious project to create this wonderful resource for the village. The project took five years to complete - the new Church Centre opened its doors in 1981.
To commemorate this great achievement, and to give thanks for the dedication of the countless people who brought to project to fruition, a celebration weekend is taking place from 16-18 October - including a special showing of the 1976 film ‘Grease’ on Friday 16 October as part of the monthly ‘Flicks in the Sticks’ schedule; a 1970s-themed party on Saturday 17 October; and a service of celebration on Sunday 18 October. On 7 November 2026, there will be a short commemoration ceremony by the foundation stone, to which those who were involved in the Church Centre project 50 years ago are particularly invited!
