Welcome

We are the churches of Claverdon, Wootton Wawen, Preston Bagot and Aston Cantlow - four parishes a few miles from Stratford-upon-Avon in South Warwickshire. Our vision as a Group is to grow the Christian presence within our communities through friendship, involvement in local activities, and by offering opportunities for worship, prayer and discussion for people of all ages.

We are part of the Church of England’s Coventry Diocese. We have been in vacancy since January 2024, searching and praying for a new incumbent to come and lead us. But see below - the search is over! Our new Minister - Rev Tom Thomas - will be joining us in the New Year!

There is always a lot going on here - have a look round our website, and better still - come and visit us in person!

Worship Services

We hold a range of worship services from week to week - informal Cafe Church, Morning and Evening Prayer, Holy Communion in modern and traditional settings.

When there is a 5th Sunday in the month, all four churches get together for a joint celebration.

NEW MINISTER ANNOUNCED FOR THE CHURCHES OF ARDEN

After nearly two years of searching, it is with great pleasure that we are able to announce that Rev Tom Thomas has accepted the Bishop of Coventry’s invitation to serve as the next Priest-in-Charge of the Churches of Arden.

In Tom’s 30 or so years of ministry, he has served in a wide variety of contexts, for the past 15 years at St Christopher's, Springfield in the Sparkhill area of inner-city Birmingham. Sensing a call to move to a very different context for the remaining years of his ordained ministry, Tom is delighted to have the opportunity to join in village life in our communities.

Please join us in praying for Tom and his family – his wife Jo and daughters Eve and Aisha - as we look forward to welcoming them in the coming months.
